Always There

He's always there
Sitting on that street corner,
Watching people pass him by,
Without a second glance.
Just another man,
Unable to make it in the rat race.

She's always there
Sitting at that table,
Staring into the distance,
Dreaming of the day
When someone, anyone
Will come and sit next to her

I'm always there
Watching this life pass me by
Knowing that I should do something
But society forbids it
Do we really want to live in a world
Where people refuse to offer acknowledgement?

You're always there
Doing what I do
Too afraid to stand up to society
Like me
Just wanting to fit in
Doing Anything to belong

They're always there
Watching
Not caring
We follow their rules
If we refuse
Society rejects us

We're always there
Always afraid to be different...
